We host virtual and in-person events, participate in conferences, and share resources on our website to educate both professionals and the public about steps they can take to promote pollinator conservation in New York City and beyond.
Networking
Through our virtual and in-person events, we provide networking opportunities for our partner organizations. Connecting and collaborating accelerates our work towards the shared goal of a pollinator-friendly city.
Networking in Action
Stewardship
We take on land stewardship projects in New York City in collaboration with our partners. Recently, we have worked with Maple Street Community Garden in Brooklyn and New Roots Community Farm in the Bronx to significantly increase the native plant footprint in their gardens.
Advocacy
We have developed a set of policy recommendations for evaluating, controlling and reducing the impact of European honeybees on wild pollinators in New York City. We also support legislation that increases the use of native plants and reduces the use of pesticides.
